NanoCon Mk. IV International Science-Fiction Film Festival

This year, the NanoCon Mk. IV Science-Fiction Convention begins on Friday, March 24, 2017 with The NanoCon International Science-Fiction Film Festival. The annual festival, now in it’s second season, accepts submissions of short subject, science fiction films from all over the world. This year 959 films were submitted from 88 countries.

Winning entries from this year’s festival will premiere at a red-carpet event at the Wallenberg Auditorium in the Rose Center for the Performing Arts at Lower Columbia College.

Cosplay (science-fiction related costume) or formal attire is preferred but not required. Walk the red carpet with science-fiction characters and local celebrities.

– 5-6:00PM Food and drink in the Rose Center Lobby

– 6-8:00PM Award-winning films presented in the Wallenberg Auditorium

– 8:30-9:30PM Gold Member ticket holders are invited to share dinner with the our special guest, Northwest science-fiction author, Ken Lizzie, on the Rose Center Mezzanine.

ADMISSION INFORMATION

Film Festival Only – $5 – *Individuals under 17 yrs. must be accompanied by an adult. Some films may not be suitable for children under 13 yrs. Films submitted specifically for the Youth category will premiere on Saturday, March 25, 2017.

Bronze-Level Member – $10 – Includes admission to all NanoCon Mk. IV activities.

Silver-Level Member – $25 – Includes admission to all NanoCon Mk. IV activities and an official NanoCon Mk. IV t-shirt.

Gold-Level Member – $50 – Includes admission to all NanoCon Mk. IV activities, an official NanoCon Mk. IV t-shirt, official signed poster, and reserved seating at all event activities.

The NanoCon International Science-Fiction Film Festival accepts submissions on an annual basis as part of the NanoCon Science-Fiction Convention at Lower Columbia College. Screenings for the second season of the festival will occur at the NanoCon Mk. IV Science-Fiction Convention on March 25, 2017.

Prime Objective

The main purpose of S.O.S. Business Enterprises is to educate, empower and enable our fellow citizens to engage in a positive manner to rise up and take back our communities by utilizing the great resources offered within Cowlitz County.

A few examples are the SCORE classes offered at the Longview Library, you can also take StartNextQuarter classes at Lower Columbia College, all while getting on the job Internship training via the S.O.S. Training Center.
